Agreed..... 2 different things.

You've seen the light!!!! Quote: I told this guy to buy one... right...
A most excellent recommendation Quote: I'm not saying the Pilatus isn't safe, I'm saying having a safety pilot in the right seat is always a great idea, for anyone, in anything!
I'm not sure that it statistically true in Turbine powered airplanes. BUT, at a high level, having a competent pilot who knows the airplane when the SHTF should seem not to be a bad thing. 90% of my flights I'm the only certified pilot. I currently fly about 400hrs per year. I'm not saying that makes me a good pilot but I do fly enough to remain current.

The "cardiac event" is a fair consideration. But how often is that a cause of an airplane crash? Yes, I've heard of those crashes but it's super super rare. Yep, both guys up front could have had the fish!
In the airlines the Captain and FO actually get served different meals for that very reason!

Great point. An urgency becomes an emergency with someone who panics!

Well, you see? We agree. I am speaking about two CRM trained pilots, not some shlub. A shlub can actually make the flight less safe.

If I was flying with Crandall, I would sit in the back. He doesn't want anybody upfront anyway, and based on my whole 30 minutes of pilatus experience, the front seats rank somewhere between a school bus and a wooden church pew for comfort.

Not so fast there chisel chest, we don't all eat lightning for breakfast and shoot jaguars for lunch Chip is in the sales/support side of the business. He's made good points as to why he's not a full time pilot..........that does not make him incorrect. He is correct about the Pilatus
