Hi everyone

Up for sale is a very lightly used Aspen EWR50 XM weather receiver. This unit works with the Aspen PFD and MFD units to display satellite weather.

On the above display sample the weather is from the EWR50, the traffic is from an ADSB source and the lightning is from a Stormscope.

This unit comes with the connector and wiring, and also includes the latest installation manual from Aspen.

Sure, it was built in 2009, so about 16 years old or so. Was working fine when removed. BTW I will have a complete legacy Aspen PFD 1000 Pro system for sale in a couple of weeks.

Is the unit any good. How does it compare to ForeFlight and century. Thanks.

Well, for one thing it's meant to be installed and hardwired to an Aspen.

Hi Oleg

The XM weather from this receiver will display on the Aspen PFDs and MFDs via RS232 wiring. It is not designed to get XM weather to a portable device like an iPad running Foreflight. As to Century, I am not sure what system you are referring to. Just let me know!

Norman,

Does it include the antennae?

If not, what antennae is required?

Thanks,
Slow
