I'd say they're $2mill on the engines with props, the panel is $300K, the paint and refurbishment is what, another $300K? Add a little mechanical work for another $100K and we're talking $2.7mill on top of whatever you bought he plane for. Worth it? Adam he says on the video comments it was 1/2 of a new one so…3.75 million or a bit more? A bunch.

The Avanti has the same PT6 (66) as the TBM, where there is a lot of Overhaul price information. I'd say the range is $600-$900k per engine from that, although P&W has some sort of program where I think you can lock in $650k... I haven't investigated that since my plane is on programs. The engine programs are currently priced at about $900k nominal dollars, though the PV is much higher than that as it takes a LONG TIME to fly 3,600 hours, esp at like 150hr/yr!

Don't worry, the overhaul price and the program price will escalate together which makes the PV be $900K today. Nearly a million bucks to overhaul a PT6. Wow. Mike C.

Thanks Jon… getting closer but man it’s slow.l One of the cool things I’m trying and hoping works out is the use of LED indirect lighting in the overhead and the lower sidewalls that I can control from cockpit. (Pink in the morning turning to blue during the day and dark blue at evening….or any color combination). We shall see…. Attachment: IMG_1722.jpeg Love the colors Mark!

Why would anyone even DO an overhaul at 3600 first run hours? I am talking Part 91 of course. When the unit has shown it will run 90,000 hours on an offshore oil rig without incident it just seems silly to overhaul one at 3600 hrs (excepting the hots and fuel controllers of course ). Especially at these prices !!!

Especially at these prices !!! I asked this question at a TBM shop last week. Part of their answer (as I understood it) was that there was a possibility for corrosion at the back of the case that would not be seen during a hot-section. I believe the mentioned prices in the $600-$700k range with a six month lead time.

The TBM ecosystem is an interesting one...I feel like it is a competition to see how much you can spend. I asked a few of their shops if they could just pull the hot section on wing at 3600 and let me ship it out for inspection on my own...you would think I farted in church. The humming and haw'ing was hilarious.

After scanning the Avanti II of a BT member, and a year plus of development work, it's getting released to the world on Feb 6!

I’ve met joe some years ago and I know he works well, but I don’t have any connection with IJSC. I just think it’s a good news! Joe is a very knowledgeable and great guy.
