Like it or not, the Vision jet is now certified! Exciting times for Cirrus and GA.

I definately have a wager out there and am looking forward to settling up. I have no idea whether I am giving or receiving, but since the wager involved a round of golf, I really don't see how I can lose! I'm just glad we'll be settling up before I need a walker. I forget, what time criteria for your bet?
I am curious about the certification.
If you remember the eclipse was certified with a garmin 496 for navigation! Yikes!
Will the eclipse be limited? What's the cost for a typical well equipped FIKI plane?
What are the specs? Can it meet the expectations?
Not much info on performance?
Where's the chute video?

Where's the chute video? Cirrus was certified with off the shelf G3000 system, somehow I don't think that's going to be an issue. Garmin did the heavy lifting. Are you questioning their ability to certify anything? They are not avionics builder any more than Cessna is an aircraft builder. They are certification machines. Deicing was certified by CAV. They've done it once or twice or twenty times. Cirrus has been around the block once or twice as well. New to this forum, but Cirrus bashing continues as well here as it does on all others. It's like the caveman going: Fire, bad.

It's like the caveman going: Fire, bad. Is the SF50 icing certified? Maybe they have completed the icing certification but not uncommon for planes to be certified before the FIKI certification. I know my TN22 was non-FIKI when I bought it, but received FIKI certification not too long after. I had one of the first FIKI Cirrus. I don't think CAV did the deice for the jet, isn't it booted? Just curious, no inside information, on that.

It's a combo system, alcohol for windshield and nose, boots for wings. What I'm saying is that Cirrus leveraged suppliers to help with certification. I'm sure they are not screwing around.

Facts would be helpful. You have any? That's what I was asking for.
Cirrus using the G3000 is a great move. Cirrus is doing many things for the first time which was my point in referencing the eclipse troubles with their integrated nav panel.
Not Cirrus bashing just want real data. Hard to get that point through to some. You will find most who disagree with the cirrus believers don't participate on cirrus threads because of the name calling and the blind cult like following.
