It would be interesting to hear what happened - was it primarily a financing/investment failure? technology? design? management? the prototype's accident? regulations?

They did have a flying prototype which is further along than some project are able to get. They were planning a certified model alongside the experimental, but if FAA was slowing them down it seems like they could have continued on the experimental side at least.

All black looks great.

I once had a Charcoal grey Buick Centurion with a black vinyl interior that would give you second degree burns if you wore shorts in summertime.

Black cars generally go for a 10-20% discount around my part of Texas.
