Just brought my Colemill B55 home to Palo Alto (KPAO) last week. Thanks to Justin Greenway at Lafferty Aircraft Sales, Neal Schwartz at Latitude Aviation and the HBS piston crew at FTY. Couple months fixing pre-buy squawks gave me time to finish my ME rating in a Duchess and pick up a dozen transition hours in a G58. Reman 550s burned 2 quarts of oil each side in ten hours flying home. I’m a 400 hour instrument and ME rated pilot and managed to get a Baron insured with transition dual requirements. My 2400 foot home runway doesn’t help, but it’s all doable if you get the right people helping out! Attachment: IMAG0072.jpg Attachment: file.jpg Attachment: file-1.jpg

Jimmy,
You are a patient gentleman. Plane flew home beautifully. 195 KTAS at 2500 RPM. Neal did a great job getting everything done.
Let me know if you're in the Bay Area.

Asher,
You did great flying the airplane home. I'm glad we were able to finally fill your Hangar with such a beautiful airplane. Neal and I are here anytime you need something.

Justin I can't believe you bought an airplane from that Justin Greenway guy...I wouldn't even trust him to put fuel in my airplane (I kid, I kid. I've known Justin for a long time, he's a great guy).
