I flew my first Bonanza this weekend (well, kind of, its owner gave me some help with throttle settings amongst other things) and, overall, made me less nervous about the whole thing. So I figure since I now can put 1 hr of Bonanza time in my log book I should get my own account instead of lurking around and reading your message boards from my husband's account. (For the record Byron would rather have a Bonanza but he's cheap about the whole fuel thing... , typical.) The rest of the time, I fly a Mooney 201 (I know "booo") but I definitely enjoy this board - your large membership makes some of the topics, particularly the trip talk, etc. really thorough. I will probably have more time to lurk, because, sadly we are facing an unexpected overhaul. Doubly sad this interferes with my grand plan to take 3 weeks off work and fly to Oshkosh followed by a lake in Ontario and get out of the Houston heat. Below is the picture of me flying the Bonanza and one of me flying the Mooney. It was a pretty good Sunday, getting to fly one each way.

Glad you decided to officially join. Byron must have an accounting bone somewhere in him based on his efficiency posts all tie back to money. But, I think you will wear him down and get what you want eventually.
Good luck,
Tim Aviation is probably about the only hobby where you enjoy it 100 hours a year, and 25K a year is "cheap". Yes I am frugal.... Cheap is using reground lifters that fail in 1300 hours.
