It comes back to your name with a Jacksonville address and 'undeliverable triennial registration'. Consider ordering the CD on the plane, if it had any work done that required 337 forms you would have a place to start looking. http://aircraft.faa.gov/e.gov/ND/airrecordsND.aspIt is still your plane, contact Martin state to check whether the plane comes back to a tiedown there. MD requires airports to maintain a list with all based aircraft includign proof of insurance. Chances are it just sits in the 'back 40' of some airport collecting moss and bird-poo .

Thanks for the advice, I have the CD on order and I have talked to Alfred Pollard the airport manager at Martin State, he had it is not listed as being there now, but he is going to see if there are any records of N45XC ever being on site.
I also talked to Avemco again, they told me a Doctor had it back in 2003 but they couldn't give me his name, they tried calling the numbers they had but they weren't any good, they did say that the plane was sold.
I checked Flight aware but they had no record.
Florian, I'm thinking you are correct about it being in the "back 40" somewhere, either that or it's a hanger queen.

Well the CD came in from the FAA, but the latest information was just my registration of the aircraft and the lien release in 2000. No one has file any paperwork since then. Since Aveco isn't releasing the name of insured, the trail is running a bit cold. I really liked the old Bonanza, but maybe it's time to go shopping. Maybe a twin this time...?

Joe, all Avemco needs is a subpoena- in most states, a small-claims action allows for discovery to be propounded, so trot down to your local Justice of the Peace (or whatever they call the first-line judges in your jurisdiction), file a petition/complaint (Joe Clary v. John Doe, whatever), and serve Avemco with a Deposition on Written Questions, asking questions about the airplane, its last insured pilot and any claims history. Bet they answer then. This is not a hostile act, on Avemco's part or yours; Avemco is taking reasonable measures to ensure privacy, and you'd be taking reasonable measures to secure information to which you are entitled.b with a Subpoena in hand, Avemco would be comfortable answering. The answers may lead you to the plane, may deliver information which reveals it is gone, or may deliver a new adventure or new friends. You never know... But it is worth an easy effort! Edit: why does the iPad auto-correct assume that every "its" should be an "it's"?
