"G'Day from DownUnder!"
I own one of only three 28V V35B's on the Aussie register: VH-NBO, S/No. D-10166, 1978 model. It's got BDS 15 USG tips and the standard IO-520-BA and 2-blade McCauley but has been modified with aileron and flap gap seals. Best TAS so far - admittedly at light weight - was 174 knots at 6000' but that was before the gap seals were fitted, so I'm hoping to see around 176-7 next time I get to check it. I normally fly at 9/10,000' and flight plan at 165 KTAS, ROP using WOT, 2500 RPM and book F/F figures. I'm interested in fitting an MT scimitar prop and the PowerFlow extractor system to see if I can get some more speed (TN is very expensive to instal here!)...
Cheers all,
Russ Lucas

Welcome to BT.
A good friend of mine owned NBO up until a couple of years ago. I have the cover from it which I now use on our Debonair. I was at his place the other day and witnessed him taking the old prop to the dump still in time and with about 60 hours left. He now flies an RV10 out of a strip near YSYN.
We fly out of a small strip in the Adelaide Hills, 10 or so miles from Geoff.
Nice plane, hope it goes well for you.

Thanks John... Probably hard for Geoff to believe but it's over 4 years now since I became the current owner!

Time sure flies, I picked Geoff up from West Sale after he delivered it. I may have met you with David Page at Yungur's a couple of years back.
Are you friends with Michael Dalton?

How funny is that  .........it took a couple of days to get a bite, just like Barra fishing except this one I did not wind the lure away too quick for the big Barra to bite!

Funny how the Dr concerned sold his FTDK for a Retard Vehicle -10 though :duck:

Howdy Lee :peace:

Sorry Russell, thread drifting and comic banter amongst us Aussies is not uncommon. So join in the "Souther Stirrers" :hide:

Yep that would be right John... I've know David Page since he was an apprentice and I've been great mates with Mike Dalton since about 1989 I think.

There's a lot of banter that could be said but I'll leave it at this - for now anyways - fixed undercarriage is for babies or people who don't have the spare mental capacity or flying discipline to remember to put it down once before each landing...!!! Cheers fellow Bonanza appreciators...

yeah..... good point  , although so far every time I have flown a retract I have managed to put the gear down. Otherwise Lee and Chuck would be on my case something terrible.

But I don't complain about the cost of annuals, nor the fact I am faster on 20% less fuel than them fork tailed things......But just sayin  (more bait thrown out to the big Barra man)

Ahhhh Friday afternoon fun!
