Well, I got the sickness and started looking 4 months ago. I saw a lot, learned a lot and right or wrong, I bought my first Bonanza ( A36TC) and flew it home last week after doing three pre-buys on planes that did not stand up to the hyped advertisements. The last one, surprisingly, was humbly described, no hype at all. The more I learned, the more I liked her. 1000 hours on the airframe and engine, she is showing no serious wear and tear. The interior hasn't a worn spot or a blemish. The original exterior paint ( a bit retro) is without a scratch and has clearly been shielded from the sun in a hanger for 30 years. Though the engine was scoped and inspected and runs smooth and strong, I am ready to deal with whatever 30 years of minimal use might require. Maintenance has been done by the same ( not cheap!) shop forever. Every bit of paperwork was in order and every invoice came with the deal. I loved the first three hours. What a pleasant flight deck! Exceeded my expecations. The only upgrade of importance? Brand New Garmin everything driving a KFC200. WOW. I can't wait to put at least 100 hours on her a year. I'll look to all the forums for power management, maintenance and systems operating tips. This site seems wonderful.

Congratulations Richard. That’s wonderful. She sounds like a good bird that will serve you well. I hope your future flying Bonanza's is as rewarding as mine has been for the past forty-one years...
