My sister is selling her car on Bring a Trailer. It has been in our family for 20 years. Here is the listing: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005- ... rtible-73/

:bugeye:

WOW!

That is a stunning example of the E46 convertible!

That straight 6 BMW engine has a long time good track record in their vehicles.

GLWS.

Mike

Thanks Mike. Knowing how well you kept your Beemer, I consider that a real compliment.

It's well deserved

I looked through all 266 pics and saw the maintenance invoices on items that have been done.

Good upkeep: trans fluid, motor mounts, vanos, etc.

My AWD 330Xi Sedan was snappy even at 146K miles and this has maybe 15hp more on a coupe chassis.

The E46 handling, braking and acceleration performance is an excellent package, IMHO.

I am holding onto my 2007 twin turbo BMW E90/335Xi which is the next generation of 3-Series evolution.

In your vehicle's condition (with continued good maintenance & care) I would expect it to be capable of easily delivering another 10 or more years of top down adult enjoyment.

GL to all the bidders.

Mike

Thanks to Mark for offering this car. I won the BAT auction and drove it home from Florida last night. A great car!

You are going to love that car, Tom.

I can't think of a better value in the used car market than a well cared for and maintained E46. My wife has an E46 330Ci with nearly 150k miles on it that still looks and drives like new. No longer a daily driver so it spends 99% of its time in the garage under a car cover! She will only sell it when the day comes that we find a super clean E46 M3 Coupe 6-Speed in Imola Red. Then we will garage that one next to our E46 M3 SMG Convertible in Laguna Seca Blue. ;)

I let go of my E46 ZHP sedan with the 6MT a couple of years ago now and regret it. I didn't have extra space to keep it after "upgrading" to a 2020 and I miss the simplicity and purity of that car. I did make sure the new owner gives me the first chance to buy her back if he sells in the future, though!
