This is an early Cygnet Dual Control maybe SN-270. Looks like its in good shape at around 20 years old. The correct hardware used to lock the control to the column appear to have been lost and someone substituted some Phillips crews. The correct hardware: 1/4-28 X 1/2" long, MS51964-68 socket set screw, AN365C416 lock washer and AN316-4R check nut. This appears to be a perfectly fine dual control. The back covers should be removed and it should be inspected to make sure the chains are correctly tensioned and turnbuckles are properly safety wired. There have been a lot of improvements since this version. The check nut and lock washer have been eliminated with a locking thread insert and short set screw. Previous versions may be updated to this new style locking method. The control wheel adapter flanges are slotted to allow leveling of the control wheels without adjusting the internal chains or aircraft rigging. The shape of the control arm housing is rounded for a similar look to the later Beech version. The back covers are one piece and have only six screws per cover. Internally a spacer on the long axle side was eliminated and was the extra set of turnbuckles allowing for a single chain per side instead of two. We always offer to inspect, make any minor adjustments, free of charge to any of our controls asking the customer just pay the shipping.

"The control wheel adapter flanges are slotted to allow leveling of the control wheels without adjusting the internal chains or aircraft rigging." How much can the flange be adjusted? Are you stating this control arm has this feature, or are you stating later upgrades include this feature and I should not purchase the OP's control arm? Thanks!

This control does not have the slotted flanges. That's not a show stopper.
