Aircraft is located in the NE US, approximately 1700 hrs total time. Hasn’t run in ten years. Currently holds a restricted airworthiness certificate. THIS IS A PROJECT AIRCRAFT. Paint and interior are 5, panel is all old analog. If someone is interested in taking this on, give me a shout. Price negotiable. I am not the owner, just helping the owner with sale, will provide all information I can and update the listing as more information becomes available.

This tail number show previously for sale a b55 with io470’s with 3530 total time. Did they do some sort of turbo conversion and that’s why it’s restricted?

Aircraft registry shows TG-56, a 1967 with valid registration. I think just 300-400 man hours of labor and you'd have yourself a very nice aircraft here.

You’re right. I’m wrong. The planes look really similar too. And coincidentally both were sitting out of annual for 10 years.

Tbh if the airframe is in good shape it’s not 3-400 hours. We took my E55 from Macon Georgia to Madison WI in 8 days and they included hanging overhauled engines and props as well as swapping all the hoses, tires, brakes, rebuilding all 3 struts, checking gear rigging, 4 fuel bladders and installing a JPI960. Me and my IA.

It also has the E1B4 motors with Ray-Jay turbochargers. Parts are darn impossible for those. Yea But that nose gear collapse was from 91, not a gear Up unless you’re seeing another incident. So odds are it’s been properly repaired already. Worst case it chewed up the radome and the underside of the nose . The LH wing def looks different but I couldn’t even read the tail number properly. It was previously registered to a weather company probably did some aerial survey stuff. Who knows. My baron sat hangared for 18 years with 20 smoh on the engines and they were internally rusted and shot. The mud dobbers and birds did their job on them too. Fuel vents were plugged with mud

I had Stephen Ripley (bobs son) do my prebuy From this comment I’m guessing you don’t know Eric. He is not only an ABS accredited mechanic, but has done countless prebuys on Barons. Eric knows more about Barons (and actually the 56TC) than almost anyone I’ve come across. I would consider him an expert in this niche area.
