Time to part with the family heirloom, in the family since new but I have no space and little use for it anymore. Everything works,starts and runs like a champ, PTO, converted to 12V w alternator, includes a blade, a bucket, a Bushhog, and most parts for a 7 blade plow. Located in Kerrville, TX.

Later versions called the 2000 after 1962 I believe. Rakes a lot of hay with these. Mine didn't have live PTO or the 2 stage clutch some did, that was a challenge.
601 is often just a decal the tag ie 641 will inform on the actual features like the PTO and the HP if I remember right.
Muffler on mine was prone to falling off and had been reworked and ran stright up and down. The flapper cover fell off and an ambitious squirrel filled the entire exhaust and one of the cylinders with nuts and seeds. Of course discovered that immediately before needed to use it for hay so I promptly tore it apart in the garage overnight, cleaned it up, made my own cardboard gaskets and put it back together. That was over 10 years ago, still working today. Can't find a picture I'll try to dig it out and post one.

I spent many hours on a similar Ford tractor although ours wasn’t painted red. Could that tractor really pull a 9 blade plow? Thanks

Tom Don’t know personally, but I remember Pop plowing the garden, and that plow was with all the implements, so I suspect so, pretty soft ground where that was.

It’s much closer to the ground than your Kubota. Lower velocity on a fall.
