Neal Schwartz has listed our 2009 Piaggio Avanti II on Controller.

https://www.controller.com/listing/for- ... p-aircraft

It's a great airplane and if you're looking for one I hope you'll consider it. Neal is super responsive and knowledgeable and would love to visit with anyone looking.

Thanks.

Tony

Tony what's up? Moving up to something even bigger? Tired of her?

Well, I waited until the deal was done. My new money pit is here. FlightSafety schedule for June.

PS - sorry for the non-Piaggio post!

That’s awesome Matt! If you are comfortable sharing, is single pilot insurance a possibility?

Single pilot is possible....it took alot of shopping. Requires sim every year (for now) and I need 25hrs with co-pilot for now. But the premium is not terrible given the hull coverage. 43K.

I was 3/4 of that with the Piaggio and 1/8th the hull value.

Wow Matt! Please create a ‘definitive PC24 thread.’ It will make me work harder :)

Will be very interested to hear some pireps. Such a cool plane.

Neither. Just find I'm not flying as much as I once did.

Understood.... GLWS. She's a nice bird I have always admired her. Very low time!

Thank you Tony! You beat me to it here on BeechTalk. I'll be posting the ad over in Peddler's later today most likely.

For anyone interested, this is an incredibly low-time Avanti II with fresh hot sections, recent gear overhaul, and the LPV upgrade. If you want an Avanti II, it doesn't get much better than this one.

-Neal

I hope this works out for you. I have 1800 hours in them. I hope you got above serial number 185 for your sake. Below 185 many of the upgrades aren’t available or are prohibitively expensive. I’ve flown lots of serial numbers for small size of fleet and only 2 have been reliable with a good dispatch rate. Pilatus is trying to get the plane right but the customer service hasn’t been what Pilatus is known for. 2 of my people went back to pc12s.

Piaggio finally sold to Baykar company, Turkish manufacturer of military UAS.

News coverage on major Italian financial newspaper:

https://www.ilsole24ore.com/art/piaggio ... r-AGPNr8zB
(Google translate should work well)

Least worst of the three options left, IMHO.
Best of luck.
Long live Piaggio!

Daniele

Let's hope! They've pledged to keep producing aircraft and keep the factory and service/maintenance intact, according to Reuters.

Time will tell but I can’t see it being worse than Piaggio support. Or being worse than my 10% dispatch rate (I made that number up but it was bad).

Lets hope the recent sale of Piaggio is the start of good things…it was an awesome plane when it wasn’t down.
