Yes, I've missed locking them on stops at shutdown a few times, but thankfully on mine it's really easy to get the pumps to lock them back. I'm sure it's similar on yours.
Hope it's not too expensive!
And -1's are getting a little scarce, so prob not a bad idea if you can find a backup engine. Adam, yes I spoke to Brian, he does have a used -2 engine that can be converted should there be serious issues with this one. Hilgard

Used to be plenty when all the crop dusters ran them, but they've ran through most of them by now.

We left it at a the Jet Center initially, but now secured space in another MU2 owner's hangar to have the engine pull done on Monday.

Username Protected wrote: Any updates on this, Hilgard? I don’t have the final report yet, but so far, it looks like nothing major. It took three weeks to organize the logistics and get the engine to the shop. They received it last Monday and ran it on the test stand several times. They could not get it to surge the way it did in flight, it seemed fine. There is an oil leak from the compressor seal. To replace it, they had to open the engine. I spoke with the shop again today, and no damage was found. They believe the torque sensor may need adjustment and could be malfunctioning, it was one of the items we noted for the upcoming inspection. Arkansas Turbine will send it out for bench testing. While that is being done, they will also have the prop governor and fuel control unit bench tested. It will take another 2-3 weeks to complete this since the components have to be sent out. Meanwhile, Green Bay Aviation has removed the props for overhaul. They have about 900 hours and 18 years since their last overhaul, I thought it would be good to use this downtime to get as much maintenance as possible done. Once we have the engine back, it will go to Green Bay Aviation in WI for its 100/200/600-hour inspection, as well as some avionics upgrades. I hope to have it back by mid-December. Hilgard

Username Protected wrote: Hilgard do you have "dash 1" Torque Sensors?
In our -6 airplane it was the Torque Sensor (3101726-1) that failed and left us with no high pressure fuel pump in flight and some presents in the filter.
I thought they were getting rid of most of those though.
Anyway hope you get a quick resolution.
TJ TJ Good question, I will find out what Torque sensors we have. Hilgard
