Well, the refurbishment of my Piaggio is getting closer finally. Exterior paint is nearly finished. Next is the Garmin glass panel install along with the interior. Attachment: IMG_3066.jpeg

Love the paint scheme. I appreciate your choosing colors I will like when you trade back to the Mustang and I get your Piaggio! What is your interior scheme?

Nice to have the AD put behind me too... Is it the counterweight/balance for the elevator hidden inside the fairing the AD is in regards to?

Dear pilots,
please help me understand this:
Took full fuel, 3110 lb displayed at startup. Totalizer after trip: 2580 lb Fuel remaining at shutdown: 710 lb
Burned + remaining = 3290 lb
Does the fuel at landing prediction come from the initial fuel-totalizer? If yes, can the calculation be reinitialized with tank reading during flight? That was a thing on the TBM. The prediction was 550 near the end of the flight, and then I see 720 at touchdown, and 710 at shutdown.

When you entered the [full] fuel at start-up, did you know what was the actual jet fuel density (SG) that day? And that 3110 Lb was the actual weight of the fuel? As an example, the difference between the standard jet fuel SG of 0.803 and 0.827 (or 0.779) could give you a difference of about 100 Lbs at your full fuel quantity level. The King Air POH/AFM has a table with different Jet-A SGs. https://code7700.com/fuel_density.htm

Murray ...or a good FO. Make that FO do the dusting for the 5 hours enroute! I would volunteer but almost all of my time in an Avanti was in the back in AvantAir aircraft, cleaning on the ground, or stocking the cabinets. The right-seat time wasn't loggable, unfortunately. ...and most of the time I sat back and enjoyed the ride. I think I have a picture at FL380 or FL400 passing a Slowtation 2000 feet off to the side and below us!

Totalizer accuracy could easily be the issue. As could gauge calibration. Only way to know which is to carefully record how much fuel you take over the course of a few fills and see whether filling to the top again takes the amount recorded by the totalizer or the amount that the gauge says.
