Hello everyone! Long time member but never really posted. I just got my instrument rating in my V35b bonanza. I used the 10 day instrument course from PIC (professional instrument courses). it definitely was challenging doing this in a plane as fast as my Bo, But she and I both met the challenge and got the rating!

Nice to meet you all!

Congrats and welcome Conrad!
The instrument ticket really opens up flying for you making a lot more trips feasible.
Also opens up all the dangers that that entails so stay proficient!

Congratulations Conrad.

That's a big step in getting the full usefulness from your Bo.

I think it's good that you got your instrument in the (complex high performance) plane that you are going to be flying in. Because, flying on instruments is a lot different in a Bo (or equivalent) vs. a 172/182, et. al.

Congrats Conrad.
Now get out there and use it!
Such a useful and challenging rating; but one that demands care and good decision making with go along with the raw instrument skills.

Yes sir and thank you! I set personal minimums pretty high to start until I’m more comfortable in the system, but I’m going to file even on VFR days!

First flight in IMC is like a second solo... you realize that if you screw up it could be really bad!

Congrats !

I'm super impressed PIC can still do these 10-day courses with the DPE scheduling problems so well known.
