Most of us believe he told you what he believed to be true. He may not have guessed correctly. Good thing you did not come for sympathy cuz little or none is coming your way.

I have read what you wrote above and I fly several vintage aircraft on tour, and I have decided that I would like not to do business with you.

BS! You are here to call someone a liar and a crook, to make false accusations of fraud, and then throw in an unsubstantiated and baseless suggestion of maintenance issues.

I don’t think a lot of people here need to be alerted to the fact that non-refundable tickets are often non-refundable.

JGG has many times mentioned his grandmothers wisdom about there being two types of people in the world; those that we can/will deal with, and those we can't/won't deal with. The internet makes it much easier to differentiate because most step right up and self-identify.

I was wondering what the male term for a “Karen” is?

I was lied to and sold something based on those lies. The person later lied to the credit card company and told them I bought the tickets online rather than in person. If that doesn't make someone a liar, I don't know what does.

That same person agreed to terms, acting as me, without my knowledge or permission. That fits the definition of fraud.

Again, I have shared the facts of my experience with Doc's Friends, which is an aviation business, on an aviation forum. I'm not asking anyone here for sympathy, money, or anything else. I'm simply sharing my experience for others' potential benefit. If you feel compassion for Doc's Friends, by all means give them your support.

Wes,

Respectfully, this thread is in poor taste.

There were/are better ways to have handled this matter.

Thank you Sidney! I've been reading this forum since I started my PPL in 2012. I'm well aware that many on this forum (probably all forums) seem to enjoy playing "devil's advocate" or disagreeing just for the sake of argument and I didn't expect this thread to be any different.

In this thread, I get the enjoyment of being part of the argument and hopefully compel someone to be less trusting, and perform more diligence, than me.

So you are going to double and triple down on making yourself look like a complete jerk rather than consider what role you might have played in causing your issue?

Notice all the people that your rant is benefiting saying thank you and rallying to your side? Yeah, me neither. I wonder if maybe there is a reason for that?

Arnie,

I would appreciate your advice on how to better handle this matter.

I contacted the seller multiple times before the departure time. The seller did not return contact until minutes before departure time. I attempted to reschedule with the seller and they would not accomodate. I told the seller that I would like a refund if they could not reschedule to which he declined. I told the seller I would protest the charge with my credit card company since I bought the tickets based on false information that he had given me. I sent the seller an email stating the same thing before protesting the charge. I then protested the charge with my credit card company. The seller responded to the protest that I had bought the tickets online and agreed to a "no refund" policy and provided evidence of "my" online purchase. I re-protested that I did not buy the tickets online, rather I purchased them in person from the very person stating I purchased the tickets online. The seller then admitted that I did purchase the tickets in person, rather than online, but claimed he notified me of the "no refund" policy.

I attempted to resolve the situation with the seller to no avail. I attempted to resolve the situation through my credit card's dispute resolution process. The problem with that process is it depends on both parties being truthful and the seller has not been truthful.

If you have advice on other steps I should take to resolve this, I'm all ears.

Posting my experience here is not an attempt at resolution, simply a pirep on this business.

Rick,

That's awesome! I'm glad you and your son had a great time!

I won't hold my breath on the opporunity to reschedule, and I won't be handing my credit card to anyone associated with Doc's Friends again, but I'll keep checking FiFi's website for an opportunity.

Wes we all have bad days and take it out on others when its not warranted. My advise is that when you can unite the varied opinions of the members of Beechtalk against you, you should probably stop posting for a day, or week, and consider what you are doing.

In fact before this becomes legal matter, if I were you, I would ask the Jeffs to delete this thread and consider it a cheap lesson. We have all been there before with child stress, work stress, employee stress etc. and its best to take the lesson and move on. After all the money is going to a cause you presumably support. So please don't respond, just take the night, get some sleep, lower the stress level, and think about better courses of action to take. As I don't believe there is anything good down the path you are headed.
