A non-pilot coworker just inherited a Cessna 140 from her father and is interested in selling it. I don't know anything about it except that the paint looks beautiful and it may have been nicely restored - but I don't know.

Is there anyone people can recommend someone or a broker who can help figure out if it has any value and help her sell it? The plane is near Ithaca NY.

There’s a guy on Backcountrypilot.org who goes by the handle “Bigrenna.” IIRC, he lives in New York and does lots of 100-series Cessna resto-mods.

I’d start there.

go to the International Cessna 120/140 website and post this on their forum page (you'll have to register to post) you'll find an abundance of help there. The important items are year of manufacture or serial number, TT and SMOH, equipment, year of restoration and how involved it was. Restored airplanes are going for anywhere between $25K-$35K.
