Hi all,
I’m considering installing aircon in my C310R. Have any of you folks had experience with The Aircenter Coolair unit?
Regards
Vaughan

When I purchased my 310 the owner had another 310 that they had since new and had just installed an air conditioner in, I believe an electric system. I think I have the info for the company that installed it somewhere but he was pretty pleased with it. The mechanic stated that the only thing he was not happy with but was an easy fix was the wiring from unit to breaker. I will look for info, I think it was around $50,000.

Hi John. How is it? Do you have the overhead duct or are your vents on the rear bulkhead? Does it work as advertised?
Regards Vaughan

Regards Vaughan It works well and moves quite a bit of air. I have a flood system with the ducts in the rear bulkhead. As of 4 years ago, AirCenter did not offer the overhead ducts...I was told it was due to too many bends in the system that caused airflow restriction. I'd suggest having a box fabricated over the hat shelf to get the air delivery ducts up higher, otherwise, the air will collide with the second-row headrest resulting in less than optimal cooling to pilot and co-pilot. The install is pretty significant so make sure you find an A&P that is good at fabricating/sheet metal.

What about the Thermacool system - can't go in a C310?
