I have heard nothing but great things about your product and I too like Martin am very accurate and happy with my present units...but someday when they day I will come calling. 830 doesn’t have fuel _quantity_ ... other than totalizer based on FF. Perhaps there was a slight confusion over terminology? The 830 can’t do anything with the CiES senders (or anyone’s senders for that matter!) you’d need a 900 or 930, or an aerospace logic gauge to use them.

My CIES sending unit replacement was finished yesterday. I'll give a pirep after picking up and flying for a week or so. I'm looking forward to actual fuel level information as opposed to waving needles.

That is probably correct about terminology. I wish I had a 900/930 and a full glass panel but I am retired on a fixed income so those things are out of reach.

Given the uniquely painful install of pulling wires through the fuel bladder bays I'm planning on CIES senders the next time I do bladders. Now if you all come up with a wireless system where all i need is power at each sender (which I could send over the existing wiring) I'm in tomorrow.

Scott, I recently installed CIES fuel senders and a JPI EDM 900 in my A36 without tip tanks. So far I am impressed with the accuracy, my old floats worked ok, but I really like the exact gallons indicated. I’m not exactly in love with the fact that when the tanks hit 13 gallons that the “Low Fuel” alert is activated, but I accept it. Some of the install instructions in your manual and JPI manual need to be updated, it should be made clear to change the setting on the JPI to Frequency from Resistive, and that the CIES senders for the main tanks plug into the “Aux” tank connector, I think this should be in the install manual. Both of these issues cost me time, but your tech support was helpful. Running the extra wires to the senders involved removing the front seats, spar cover, front floorboards and loosing the side panels. Removing the wire bundle grommets and wing jack covers helped with snaking the wires from the cabin to the senders. After the fuel calibration was completed, (a time consuming job) and the JPI set to Frequency, and plugged into “Aux” tank for “Main” tank(who knew) it all worked flawlessly. Phew, my finger is tired.
