Spoke to them at OSH. Expect early 2019 from what I was told.

Just not sure what demand they see for this product that would justify the cost and effort to get the FAA to approve it. Daunting task for sure. Think how long it takes just to get an RVSM. What would the FAA's motivation be? What it would do is set a precedent for how to do this type of thing with a legacy aircraft. What other aircraft would follow suit? Citation Excel? Seems like the feds "owe" Cessna on that one. Hope they succeed.

In addition to getting the single pilot approved, they would have to recertify the entire aircraft top to bottom under Part-23 (it's currently part 25 afaik)
This might be possible for them as it's under it's own type certificate already. Will be interesting to see.
