Williams FJ44 can burn up to i think 10 hours of avgas. The hours of running on avgas need to be logged.

Use of avgas is not approved in Williams engines on any of the 525 models

I am not where I can reference the MM so going by memory. Sort of remember hearing it at one time.

leaving at 1300 today, Pilatus does SAW to SDL in 5:35 non stop with 8 on board plus bags. I've done much longer flights than that non stop.

But again, Mark does it once a month. Not once a week. That's my point. I don't want to fly 4 hour flights every week. I'd rather move to wherever that place is that's 4 hours away. I would never have a vacation home that's 4 hours away. I'd move. I think most folks feel that way. Hence why wealthy New Yorkers build massive homes on Long Island and don't fly to the BVI's EVERY WEEK.

No, in reality it won't.

Show me a W&B for a PC12 where you can put fuel, 8 adults, and bags, and be legal. Unless the adults are tiny. It won't work with 180lbs passengers if you want any baggage with you.

5 hour flight is 2300lbs of fuel with zero reserves. 8*180lbs passengers are 1440lbs, let's add a very conservative amount of 20lbs of bags per passenger, and we're at 3900lbs payload. You have the lightest PC12NG in the world if your empty weight is less than 6550lbs to make it legal. And note, we didn't make it all the way to destination that was 5.5 hours away...

I've done it a 1000 times. PC12 is a 6.5 hour airplane with reserves. Mine has 11 seats.... I only have 8 of them installed. 8 occupants isn't a heavy load for PC12.

Tradewinds aviation runs their PC12's out of St. Barth (2000' strip) with 11 seats and full fuel.

At FL280 flight time is 5.9 with a 24 knot headwind.... the fuel burn is 2300 Lbs. Easy peasy. Well within reserves.

But you do know me well.... I would never fly around with eight 180 LBS guys.... who does? But they are all adults. :D

Useful load with full fuel 938lbs....

What jet could do this? A CJ3? Or a CJ4? Others?

60 gallons, more than an hour at cruise.

Downside is 7 hours at 11,000 ft cabin, which can be tiring.

If only the 441 had higher pressurization.

6.3PSI. It was indicating just over 10,000. Agree that lower would be nice.

My 840 with -10s and LR fuel was something. So now I have 1000 hrs PIC in aviation family jets. So I charter 441 for a trip where our jets were busy. It seemed like a light weight loud high vibration machine. I know it is a fine machine but it hard to convince yourself on a comparison basis.

Yeah that's big. I don't think a CJ3 could do it. Maybe a CJ4. Just depends on the winds higher up. But a CJ4 "doing it" would require a lot more gas.
