Sorry pics aren’t good.
Fl450 720pph 393kts light and Isa-7
Fl360 1010pph 406kts light and Isa+5

CJ2 will make 450 at any weight if it’s ISA - 2 or colder in the 40’s. Any warmer and I’ll go to 410 for awhile. If you force it up it’ll go but it’ll never accelerate.

Just go to 47 and then push it over...level at 45. Problem solved. :rofl:

You do wear your O2 mask up there right?

FL430, TAS 400 kts, ISA +7, 740 pph in the 2+.

Can't find a FL450 pic at the moment but given performance at ISA +7 at FL430 it will do 400 kts at ISA at FL450. And will climb directly to FL450. :woot:

In the 2 pics at FL450 i had the power pulled back a bit to give me the fuel reserve i wanted. Not exactly LRC, just used the FMS to give me a happy fuel reserve number.

In the 2+ you just put throttle in CRU or MCT detent. No managing N2 limits, the FADEC does it for you. FADEC runs closer to limits and can get better performance, especially up high.

That's one of the advantages of the S550+FJ44, it has the same engines and FADEC as the CJ3, namely FJ44-3A engines rated at 2820 lbf.

With the FADEC, you don't have to worry about engine settings, just put it in the detent and the engine gives you all it can at any altitude, temperature, airspeed.

With the JT15D engines, you, the pilot, has to monitor the engine power and temps to stay under limits, and this often means staying some distance away to be sure they don't creep over them while you aren't looking.

You cannot overtemp a JT-15D-1A on a Klingon; I think it's impossible but you can easily over-temp a -4 or -5 on a II or Ultra. I do believe it's better for the motor to fly it conservatively rather than max power all the time.
