Starman and his Tesla is the most captivating thing in years. The idea that he is just cruising toward outer space in a all electric convertible is beyond belief. Questions. Are the tires really rubber? What kind of temps is Starman and the car experiencing? I guess I thought space was more inhospitable than that.

It is geeky-cool, but I'd have added some CubeSats to the payload to be deployed at opportune times during the trip.

I suppose Starman is anatomically correct and had sensors to record vibration and Gs and collect whatever data they could.

Shame they missed Mars, but I bet there is a cubic ton of data collected for all the components.

The word is another Heavy launch later this year also.

Am I the only one thinking that this is just Elon’s very clever way of disposing of a dead body?

Enough on the potty mouth, you are better than that, you sure don't have to like him or anything he does, but show a degree of class and knock off the gutter smack.

If this is the new acceptable grammar, then this joint is going down hill!

My post was based on an earlier thread that seems to have been removed.

Well actually, it would be interesting (and reassuring, at least to me) to know that it has undergone the same rigorous efforts made by ESA or NASA to limit the contamination or spread of whatever virus/bacteria/earthbound thingy to other worlds.

Speaking of ESA, 82nd succesful launch of Ariane V in a row. 83rd, not so much.

It's probably packed with Elon's DNA...

It would have been really apropos if David Bowie had made prior arrangement to be stuffed into the spacesuit.

Then again, maybe he did.

Rumor started!
