The market is pretty slim for selling $3.3 million new 550s when you can get the exact same bird for under half this. That's the issue, they are competing with the used market. I also never really understood the prospects of the Kestrel. Spending $100 million ++ to certify it to launch a product in an already saturated market doesn't sound so appealing either.
There really aren't many early Eclipse birds left to upgrade and resell either anymore so this revenue source is pretty much dried up.
Can you survive selling parts and support? I hope so but I doubt it.
Awesome little plane and I miss mine dearly.

You're talking about Eclipse right? I'm convinced any company that requires progress payments is undercapitalized.

Not looking so good. I also heard that the funding for the Canada is not available and new funding is being sought. Just rumors but from a decent source. Not yet, but it's a coming. I have that from a very good source too.

So I just got finished reading a 10 page article in Flying mag feb 2017 issue about the eclipse 550 Building one and a half planes a month and they are all spoken for it says It also states eclipse has survived and thrived while other manufacturers have closed up shop. Makes you wonder how true some of the stuff you read in mags really are I better stick to the Wall Street journal

You can't tell if a customer is really a customer otherwise.

Maybe so but I highly doubt when you buy a new Baron that you have to make progress payments. Probably not (I've never bought one) but you likely just show up with a check when its finished.

The little magazine gets thinner and thinner every month, sad.
