Honestly the 685 could not really get any worse so the V8 could have been a positive but I really did get a chuckle when I saw it on a King Air. In no universe ever does it make sense to spend money removing jet fuel burning round rotating parts in favor of 32 spark plugs helping 16 pistons remove themselves from their crankshaft based prison.

Cool looking engine though. Best in a street rod I'm thinking ...

OTOH, how can posting a pic of a Commander with a V-8 rather than a King Air not be relevant in a thread titled V-8 Commander? Not sure why the Commander pic is in question? Shirley I have to go back and see where this one changed to debating V-8s on King-airs

Bruce, its get even worst. They say they want to put this engine on a Caravan at 750 hp.
I wonder what they smoke in Texas. :crazy:
