Do red airplanes get more speeding tickets?

No, they just go faster!!!

Edit.. Airplanes, Pickup Trucks, and Lipstick, should be RED!

Check out the Flightware log... I was showing over 270 KTGS on the -430 on this trip... I did one trip faster from KFFZ to Stearman Field in Wichita once at 17,000 and was in the 270-280 KTGS, but last Sunday was the fastest ever below 10,000 feet. It might not be a Beech, but it is an amazing airplane....

Which one? Based on my current flying I lean toward Doug's solution. :D

When I look at the "other solution" I start to think my current flying might change because of it.

That's not a Mustang. It may be nice, other than the sound and smell, but it is a Cessna jet, a long way from a Mustang. It probably does have air conditioning to cool the passengers and a microwave to warm the quiche, unlike the original.

Ever notice how the real item doesn't have to copy some other name? Real bacon or real beef isn't sold as quasi soy strips or patty.
A real Mustang doesn't claim to be Cessna jet. Just like a real AT-6 doesn't have to pretend to be a Beech or Lockheed or whoever makes the copy now.

Doug that thing is absolutely stunning in fact I saved that pic to my hard drive from a couple years ago.

BEFORE corporate sponsorship became vital to financial survival in Pro Drag Racing all real Race cars were Candy Apple Red the way God (she) meant for them to be.

Two Red planes on the same ramp!

Lands great!!! It is not like Stan's SX-300 or a Todd's Glasair, or anybodies Lancair IV. Only 5 kts faster stall speed than an RV...

Stalls around 50 KIAS... Crosses the fence at 70 for a three point, probably touches down around just below 60. It would survivably go into a very short field in an emergency...

It is a great X-wind airplane. I have landed it in some incredible crosswinds with no issues, or even concerns.... 1500 ft runways are comfortable, 1000 ft doable, and it loves the grass... I routinely cross the marker at 190 KIAS, 3 pt touchdown on the fixed distance markers and turn off at midfield.

All around, it is a fantastic airplane. 200 KTAS, 12.5 GPH LOP. 210 KTAS 15 GPH ROP. At 17,000 feet it will still do 195-200 KTAS on 10 GPH... 20 NM/gallon.... Its rated for +6/-4, but I use +4/-0 Gentleman's Acro, and fully IFR... Dynon Glass, G-430W, G-496XM, coupled A/P w/alt preselect, Strikefinder, and a beta test box that I can't talk about yet.... More on that later....

It flies and feels like a WWII fighter, except with a comfortable cockpit, excellent heater, and reliable engine. It will out run a Wildcat or a B-25, and keep up with a Hellcat to 10K or the Mustang at 27"/2000.

I fly it all over the US. ~200 hrs/year.... If there was a better airplane for what I do, I would have already bought it. In my view, it is as fast as i can go in a simple safe and reliable experimental.... There is a -550 version that is a little faster... I might upgrade someday, but the Lycoming is more robust IMHO....

It has one downside... My wife isn't comfortable in the backseat, so I travel alone a lot... :tape: ;)
