I got into a discussion on the accident section about the relative safety of different aircraft, and it evolved into a discussion about passenger acceptability which seemed better moved here.
A Beech Talk member posted that following the mid-air collision between a Cirrus and a R-44 helicopter, he was feeling pressure from his significant passenger to sell his Aerostar and move into a Cirrus.
I am a happy owner of N601PE, a 1977 601P.
My significant passenger and our children took many trips in C-172, C-182, and a BE-55 Baron.
All were fun for the kids and me, and tolerated by her ("I don't understand why someone would just go flying for no reason").
Mars and Venus....
Now we have the Aerostar and she suggests trips we could take so I take that as an improvement.
Problem is:
She got a ride in a Challenger (for work) a while back.
Now when we walk out on the ramp and she keeps pointing out airplanes that don't have propellers.
What is the solution?
