My name is Matt Hinkle and I am in Columbus, GA. I fly about 300 hours/year for myself and my business. My second plane was a Beechcraft F33A and I have not looked back since then. I have owned (2) F33A's (1)A36 and have access to a Tradwind Turbine A36. I just sold my F33A and am currently shopping for a A36. I really wanted a Baron nut the one I wanted got away and now I must my plane. This looks like a great chat talk and I look forward to participating. I will update photo's and soon as I find my new airplane. If anyone nows wher any good 81 - 89 A36's are please let me know. Or any good deals on a 58.

I just wanted to say hello to all and let you know a little about myself. I live currently in Greenville, NC, where I am a line guy at the airport there. I am 22 years old, and used to fly often. I have about 40 hrs, but no solo or license yet. I flew at the University of North Dakota for a year, and then did some ATC classes for a year there before moving back to NC. I havent had the money or time to fly since I got back 2 years ago, so I get my fix working at the airport lol When I can, I take pics of things that come into the airport. Jets, turboprops, pistons, heli's....you name it, I shoot it. My website is http://www.pbase.com/eastcoastairshooterwhere I have shots from a few airports around NC, as well as airshows I have attended over the last 2 years. My camera is connected to my hip, pretty much haha. I am engaged, and am getting married in less than 2 months. Anyways, I joined originally because I needed some help with identifying a model of a Baron, but have quickly found this site is awesome and I can use it to my advantage. I thank you all in advance for your help!

Greetings, I first must tell you that I do not own a Beech product. I own a "C" product (see attached). I have, however, managed a small flight department in the '80s beginning with a '78 A36, then a 1980 B58, and then a 1982 modified King Air F-90 (frakes pitot-cowls and extended exhaust stacks. I do miss each one of these fine aircraft and wish I could afford to own them. In 1988, I had to close down the flight department due to a down-turn in business. One of the saddest days was delivering the pristine F90 to it's new owner (NY investment banker who replaced his B58). In 1989, I was hired as a co-pilot flying jets, and I have been flying jets since. I hope you don't mind if I learn from you all, and perhaps contribute something from time to time. Kevin

[quote="Jeff Carneal Welcome Kevin... we accept all kinds here! And hey, look at the bright side... if he's an investment banker, there's a good chance you can get that airplane back pretty soon [/quote] Thanks to the Jeffs for the welcome! Actually, the poor guy passed away 10 years ago. Before he died he sold the F90 to a company in Santa Ana. That company just sold it to a charter outfit in Ohio. Here is a public picture in Santa Ana. UGH, I miss that airplane Attachment: N5NW1.jpg

Hello. I'm Ignacio Arriaga and co owner with Alejandro Riera on that 1964 Debonair. I have close to 100 hours on that incredible machine. Looking forward to exchange new tech information. Hopefully I'll start training on a Baron 58 in the very close future, since my uncle lost his medical and can fly it anymore. Regards, Ignacio Caracas, Venezuela P.D. Alejandro, in your dreams, you have 34% jajajajja

I've been putting off this post for a while now as I've been a lurker but now that I've posted a few times I suppose I should do my forum/civic duty and introduce myself. I grew up in Westchester County NY and learned to fly in high school at HPN. I continued flying while in college in NC and added ratings on as time and money permitted while also working at an airport in Chapel Hill (IGX) fueling airplanes on the weekends. Ended up instructing my senior year of college and then moved to Hermosa Beach CA after college to instruct at Santa Monica Airport. Did that for a year and ended up at Continental Express in March 2000 where I spent 6 years flying Brasilias and ERJ's. A little over 2 years ago I got hired by Continental Airlines and have been flying 737's out of Newark ever since. In that time period I've always stayed close and true to my GA roots and have never lost currency, usually flying in friends' planes or doing some part-time instructing/ferry flying, mostly out of HPN.
As to how I got on this forum....I randomly found it while searching for Bonanza information. A good friend of mine (who I taught how to fly) used to own a 1999 Piper Archer and sold it about 2 years ago. He was without a plane for that time and about 2 months ago decided he wanted back in...but wanted something a bit more "substantial." The story is very similar to Jason's. Started looking at 02's to 04's then realized that the better value was in the G36.
About a month ago "we" (and I say we since I will be managing the airplane even though he owns it, etc) closed on a gorgeous 2007 60th Anniversary Special Edition out in PHX. It was still considered new since it was still in the dealer's hands so my friend qualified for the bonus depreciation and he also has a full warranty and FSI training, etc. Presently debating G&D window inserts and Osborne tip tanks. And despite flying in the NYC area, I'm not at all impressed with TIS and I do with that Skywatch was installed (but he will most likely not upgrade to it given its cost...he'd rather put the money into the tip tanks, etc). I absolutely love flying this airplane. It is a dream to fly and it turns heads everywhere we land.
I'm looking forward to learning more about the Bonanza from the veterans on this board so that I can build my own bag of tricks as well as teach them to my friend as I have very little Beechcraft experience. I am, however, very lucky to be in the position I'm in...to be able to fly a brand new G36. That said, I got to fly a 2 week old Boeing 737-900ER 2 days ago from SAN to EWR. Yes, even new airliners have that "new airplane smell."
