It was also on my shortlist. I was able to fly one and found the sight picture from the left seat was very constrained. IE, my head was above the top of the window. Had to bed over to see out, and I didn't care for that. But everything else, wow.

I have the exact same problem. In addition, the windshield has a compound curve right in front of my left eye and it's like wearing someone else's prescription monocle.

I agree, the 195 flies great. Its comfortable like 50s chevy. I was shocked to true out at 140kts. I like this bird, has an art deco staggerwing feel to it.

140 knots? What engine? Does she have the "SeaPlane rings? The big 2" flare at the back end of the cowl - supposedly costs about 5 knots for the benefit of ground cooling. No wheel pants with the castering... Must have been well set up.
