Review from POPA that I copy and pasted
"Just got back from the rollout event in Stans. It was incredible.
First off, I figured there might be a few hundred aviation geeks…there were 30,000 freaking people at the rollout event! It was a matter of national pride as much as just another business jet. I’ll try to post a PIREP from the technical briefing soon, but photos of the event and the “VIP” viewing of the P01 plane are included below.
As to the comparisons to a CJ4 or P300, it is nothing like either of those planes. Or, at least no more alike than a PC12 and a TBM.
As John said, the PC24 is MUCH bigger than the CJ4 or P300. No comparison in terms of cabin comfort.
It’s got a cargo door. I find the cargo door is one of those things you don’t think you will need until you get one and then loading everything through small door and having to leave the bulky stuff behind seems like a big sacrifice.
All the luggage is accessible in-flight.
It can land just about anywhere a PC12 can land which is hugely different than the CJ4 and P300 which are restricted to paved runways only. Even if you only plan to use paved runways, it has much better hot-and-high performance. Think leaving Aspen on a summer Sunday afternoon instead of having to depart in the morning in order to make the climb gradients.
It’s got a combi cabin…need to haul something big to your ranch…no problem. Need to fill it up with 12 people people…no problem.
It’s got an APU function via a sub-idle mode on the right engine. Plane been baking at a small Caribbean airport with no GPU? No problem…fire-up the APU mode and cool the cabin down and power-up the avionics.
Those are the big differences…there are some smaller differences like inertial navigation to supplement GPS, biggest windows in class, and a 8000 FT cabin at FL450.
It won’t be for everyone, but the market response has been great so far. Every dealer I spoke to said they’d commit to more planes right now if they were available.
I was skeptical too when I first heard Pilatus was entering this crowded market, but I think they have made a plane that is very different than anything else and it will find a nice market. Hard to bet against the company…in 75 years they have not built a loser airplane."

Paint job is ok but whats up with the flowers? It might need more than 24 hp to get off the ground? Very odd thats it was done during Oshkosh? Is that the first comforming prototype?

It's the Swiss national flower, the Edelweiss. But yeah, not on the tail.

Jimmy Elza I just returned on Sunday night from attending this event... Pricepoint I heard in Stans was approx. $9m (not confirmed but what I overhead). I have many photos from the event and lots taken in the delivery hangar after the tech briefing when we were allowed to walk around the aircraft and take photos. I'll get them downloaded from my iphone and post a few up here. As others have said the event was beyond impressive. The 'program' itself ran about 3-4 hrs in duration and every Pilatus model was flown in an 'airshow'. I would guess anywhere from 25,000 to 30,000 people attended. The Pilatus Porter demo was unsurpassed in terms of demonstrating STOL. I can't say enough about how well Pilatus ran this event and the Swiss hospitality throughout the week - well worth the trip and really energizing this market.

From what was discussed during the tech briefing they appear to be ontrack with that timeline. I believe 2,000+ hrs will be flown during the flight test program if I recall correctly.
