http://finnoff-products.com/propellers-pilatus.phpLooking for opinions on whether this upgrade would be worth the money. (78K) I've read all the sales pitch info but looking for independent opinions. Our prop calendars out July 2015 so we're looking at a 12K overhaul there that could be put towards the 5 blade. Also looking for the value of 1600TT factory prop we have now. They offer 20K trade in credit on the 5 blade. Thanks in advance.

I heard stories from TBM owners that were grounded with the MT blades damaged as it had to be sent to Germany for repair. 20k trade in is not bad for a 5 year old prop, I see $9k being offered on an almost new metal prop trade in on the new 5 blade Hartzell for the TBM. MT on the TBM is slower by 4-5 kts also. Its too short, the 5 blade composite Hartzell is the same lenght as the metal prop. Im sure Hartzell is working on the STC for the PC12. Username Protected wrote: All the word I get is you will lose performance. They look kick as though.

You're part 91 and don't have to overhaul the prop. You are correct but I want to follow Pilatus' prescribed maintenance schedule. I see it as taking care of the investment.
