I had a big smile on my face for that entire video. What a great opportunity right now for us little guys to fly into hectic airspace!

Very nice. I assume they would hit you with the landing fee for a touch-and-go! Was monitoring Boston last weekend thinking would be a good time to do the same but was in a 140 Cherokee with KX 170Bs and thought I should wait until I get the Bonanza back from annual first! Jeff

i flew a 414A into JFK once to drop off a passenger.
My trials and tribulations are to lengthy to repeat here, but the conclusion was that it became obvious i didn't belong there.

Fantastic! The first week of quarantine in France, I was still flying for the airline. The 2nd week, we got a perfect storm of blue skies...And I was feeling a bit of flying withdrawal. Then it hit me: Orly was shutting down, 10% traffic in CDG, and my homebase (Lille) is less than an hour away from Paris. I started planning a flight to CDG, then Le Bourget, Orly, and see if I could arrange a little lower than the usual 5000+ft over Paris. The last bit most unlikely, but the rest... By the time it was ready, the airclub had closed ops. Next time!

Flew my Bo into JFK from PDK last week of March to evacuate my pregnant step daughter and husband. They live in Brooklyn so this was the closest airport to them. It was a beautiful day, dead as a doornail and easy peasy. Although I had plenty of experience flying into there with my day job, still way fun to take the Bo there. Even had my choice of runway!

So he gets cleared for low approaches. On the second one his wheels touchdown. Is this technically landing without a clearance?

Well, he did say, "Tower, can I make this a really low approach?" (at the 9:30 mark) The tower controller then said, "As low as you'd like to go, cleared low approach..." Is that kind of a landing clearance?

He did say: "Whoops, I guess that's as low as I can go"....so that makes it ok...right? That was really a great quality production.
