Seems like there has been 8-10 CJ3's go on controller in the last two weeks. Any apparent reason? BTW. Sat in a CJ1 the other day; my 6'3" was not encouraged; at all.

Not 2020 compliant, or maybe a stain in the carpet?

They are good planes, great in fact. a nice jump in performance but also in price.
Seems a mystery to me also, perhaps they are moving up to something even better or buy new because of some tax perks?

I haven't been watching the CJ-3 market, but "dumping" might be a bit of an overstatement. They seem to range from $3.5 - 4.5MM. But, it does seem that inventory is very stout.

The cheapest was $6MM in 2013 when I bought my PC12.

Have any bids out yet, Jason?

A CJ3 for 3million would be a smoking deal, and would in turn affect the CJ2 pricing.

All good things if you don't own one!

No, don't want to lose my cargo door and large cabin. May hold out for a while longer.

CJ1 has tighter cockpit then CJ2 or CJ3. Cessna also has mod that notches cabinet behind pilot seat to give more pilot legroom.

Aircraft sales tend to track the stock market. With the market hitting new highs I think owners who were waiting decided this may be a good time to sell.

CJ3 fleet is 413. Still under 10% of fleet for sale which is not bad.

I don't think they're close to a "bottom". So many single pilot jets coming out.

If this is the result of guys "trading up" I would be curious to know if most were trading to Phenoms for example or more were jumping to Challengers etc......

ADS-B for a non-WAAS CJ3 can cost around $100K.

A company with a fully depreciated aircraft may want to sell for a new CJ3+ or CJ4 that they can get tax breaks on.

Something not right in the Universe. I am pretty optimistic about the future economy, but GAMA came out today, with Biz jet deliveries down for 2016. Pistons also down, but bright news for TP's. Newsflash, people are starting to learn that TP's are both capable and efficient ;)

2016 was a weird year for us. 1st and 2nd quarter were awful, 3rd was average, 4th was astounding, and it's continuing into 2017. Not sure what to make of it...
