I haven't been watching the CJ-3 market, but "dumping" might be a bit of an overstatement. They seem to range from $3.5 - 4.5MM. But, it does seem that inventory is very stout.

A CJ3 for 3million would be a smoking deal, and would in turn affect the CJ2 pricing.
All good things if you don't own one!

They are good planes, great in fact. a nice jump in performance but also in price.
Seems a mystery to me also, perhaps they are moving up to something even better or buy new because of some tax perks? ADS-B for a non-WAAS CJ3 can cost around $100K. A company with a fully depreciated aircraft may want to sell for a new CJ3+ or CJ4 that they can get tax breaks on.

Something not right in the Universe. I am pretty optimistic about the future economy, but GAMA came out today, with Biz jet deliveries down for 2016. Pistons also down, but bright news for TP's. Not sure what to make of it...
