Serious problem.
I have a Dassault 7X, but it's too small. Also my friends think it looks low class. I need to trade up!
All my friends have Gulfstream 650ERs, but I read in a magazine that the Global 7500 has both a larger cabin and a longer range. I kinda want to get the new cool plane instead of the 650ER, but I'm worried my friends will look down on me.
My accountant says I should get a USED 650ER. Of course I would have the seats monogramed with my family crest.
My mission is NYC to Miami Beech, with occasional trips to Switzerland, Monaco and Dubai.
What should I do?

What should I do? Well, here on BEECHtalk about 1 in 4 of us own Gulfstream 650ERs, definitely came to the right place. The others own various Falcons, Citations, and Challengers. I think there are a couple of guys who own Beechcraft products. Those have props and props are for boats. I would get one of each, the 650ER, keep the Falcon, and just get the Global 7500. Of course, I would get the seats monogrammed with the family crest, hell paint it on the tail too...

What should I do? Channel Sun Tzu. You must get the Global and turn the tables on your friends by having your PR firm get an article about you and your fantastic choice of aircraft written in Business Traveler magazine so that your friends with 650ERs will suddenly be the ones feeling inferior. They will dump their 650s at massive losses. You will win.

I beg to differ. Good friends cost less.

Thats a nice posting.
I Just finished visiting with my boss a 2013 GLEX 6000 just a couple of hours ago. I must say, it is really nice with all the greatest amenities for passengers and all toys for us pilots, but for the life of me advertising +13H in a plane is a lot.
I prefer by FAR a 7X. Fly by wire, more confortable ride, lower cabin altitude, much better product support than BAS for the last few years maybe not the 13H range that boss needs but anyhow... Good luck with the choices!
