What's the easiest to fly cabin class jet. Not the SF-50, but anything bigger?

Original CJ lacks advanced automation. P100 has brake issues that eliminate it from easiest.

Mustang or Eclipse.

Why would a Mustang be easier than an M2 or a CJ3+. Both have the Garmin 3000, and look pretty much the same to fly. But I'm an amateur pilot, so I'm asking.

You can get in without Citation Yoga due to through the panel yoke.

Speeds are a bit less.

I can get picky with the OP and ask you to define “easiest”.

Mustang is simpler systems, flies slower, less complex, slower landing speeds, less weight, etc. which all translates into easier to learn and fly. With the AP flying any jet up through a 787 is easy to fly.

Flying an 8000 lb Mustang can be “easier” in many conditions then a 14,000 lb CJ3+.

I've flown the Mustang and it's pretty darn easy. Even though some might argue the G1000 is a little dated, the integration of the avionics is so seamless, that a few turns of the respective knobs will get you what you want/need. And the handling is fabulous, so easy to land.

Although Ive never flown a mustang, I have the orig CJ with the G1000 factory conversion, and I find that it's far simpler to manage than the legacy equipped airplane. Part of the G1000 that makes life easy is the GFC700 auto pilot. Of all the airplanes I've flown, Lear 31a, Lear 60, Challenger 300, Citation 500 and 550, the CJ with G1000 is the easiest. I would imagine that the M2 would be even a bit more integrated with fadec and G3000, but the CJ G1000 comes very close for significantly less capital invested.

^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^

An original CJ only slightly more involved but the Mustang is King for simple and easy.

FWIW the Eclipse is easier to fly than the Mustang, just have to learn the slightly different Avio avionics. The Mustang is pretty darn easy though, when everything is working. Type ratings and the systems knowledge is a fair amount of work though. Basically learning how to handle systems when they start going down.

"Cabin class" single pilot jet?

That's really only the Mustang, M2, Phenom 100, 300, or HondaJet.

The Eclipse (in my opinion) is the easiest jet to fly, Phenom 300 most spacious.

In my biased opinion, I agree with Brent’s assessment. The CJ with G1000 really helps in reducing SP workload and the airplane handles nicely and in a very predictable manner with no bad habits.

By saying “when everything’s working” are you implying some reliability issue or something else?

We operated Eclipse s/n 224 for one year and I'm not sure we had 2 flights where everything was working...
