Engines allegedly on a program. What’s the huge cash sink the efficient market sees and I don’t?

I know zilch about Citations X's. Nada. But I just want to say I've always loved they way the look, with those huge engines and crazy sweep tail.

That is all, carry on.

Actually priced right between wholesale and retail, according to "the books"(vRef and BlueBook). I'm like Adam, though, and know pretty much zero about the X, other than they are PLAID speedy.....

Age?

https://www.controller.com/listings/air ... &SCF=False

seems other X's of that age are comparable on price (at least the one's that don't say "call")

I wonder if these things depreciate so much because they're no longer the fastest kid on the block? It seems that some of the justification for buying them when they were new was the speed factor and bragging rights, and the people who wanted them have moved on to whatever goes fastest now.

Assuming motors are on a program that will cover next event, then...

Why are all CX’s so cheap?

Yeah, they're dangerous because they need two pilots.

Citation X's are cheap because the market has been flooded. Netjets and other fractionals have been selling them off regularly for quite some time now. Plus, there aren't many buyers for that category of airplane. Also, they're been fully depreciated, so they take what they can get.

The market knows best!

I’ve been told maintenance hog, lots of corrosion issues with them. One over here just went back to Witchita to get sorted due to big problems.

Andrew.
