After looking at Mike Tarver's good looking 501SP, I thought I would mention my 1981 Citation IISP. Very similar airplanes. Mike's right. There is a lot of value in these airplanes.

Also, I just picked up a client's Citation Ultra after a Garmin Waas/ADSB install. Not a very good pic, but the new Avionics are great. 2 GTN750s, GMA35 remote Audio panel, remote transponders, GDL69A XM receiver, Glareshield annunciator mod etc.

Thanks Sven and all. I have owned the IISP for several months. I didn't mention it because I didn't want everyone to think I'm crazy:). After Mike mentioned his and nobody told him he was crazy, I thought I would mention mine. I've been buying and selling Citations for quite a few years, so I do have some experience.

Robert,
Nice plane. I’ve currently got a very nice 501SP, only 3250hrs, twin Garmin 600s, 750 etc, new paint but seriously thinking of, and about to look at a 551SP. 2 simple main reasons, range and cabin size. After flying the jet, I find myself wanting to use it for longer journeys, and we have lots of ocean around where I live so no easy fuel stops. Secondary is I’m thinking slightly better performance at similar loads. Will want the Garmin setup, so will have to endure a major hit to wallet and a bit of time in the shop.
Anyway, how have you found owning the 11. I’m very interested to know the numbers your getting, and what work you’ve had to do.
If I can perhaps PM you if discussion starts getting very specific
Thanks
Stuart

Back alive from three days of training. I passed my checkride and feel comfortable in the airplane. Other than burning a stupid amount of fuel; it's a great machine and I think my wife will really enjoy it.

I bet more people have gotten typed in aircraft than in sims when it comes to legacy citations.
