Anybody have any experience with the Commander 700? I've always been intrigued with this plane but never talked to anyone who's flown one. The cabin seems as big as a King Air and the airframe looks stout. But with only a pair of Lycoming TSIO 540's I bet it's an underpowered slug. Anyone flown one? Here's a nice example: http://www.controller.com/listings/airc ... 9e7f6b05b4

That is a very nice plane. Never flew one; however, 200 knots using 45 GPH does not interest me. The cabin size is really nice though.

It is very heavy aircraft, slow cruise, and drinks a lot of gass. There is also trouble getting parts for it now. On the positive side it has a large cabin.

Yeap, a steep, steep hill. Knock off a few for accidents and locations other than the states and anybody would call that slim pick'ns.

Alejandro,
Given that Rockwell built it I suspect it could handle many things. The Rockwell 114s I have seen are built hell for stout - I seem to remember as a 4 seater it weighs about what an late F33A weighs? These are the same folks who brought you the B1 bomber....
