We had a dry potty in the 421. (I preferred that). The 441 has a flushing potty. It's a 70's unit with some blue fluid for the flush. Anyone know how they come out/ how they're emptied and can we replace it with a dry 'drop in' unit? It seems like the whole unit should slide out, but I'm not sure and I don't want to break anything.

Martti, Here is a diagram of a typical (in this case Monogram) flushing unit. The "Knife Valve" (#16) is operated by pulling the handle (#14). If you have questions, GR Lowe is our 11,000+ hour pilot that handles all our flushing and air lav's. You can contact GR regarding anything to do flushing units, at GRlowe@avfab.com or 660.885.8317

And.....when you reinstall, open the knife valve. ( never attempt when pressurized ) Unless you want to join the Blue Man Group!

The dry potty works fine, but a more modern, more sanitary and simpler unit would be nice for the ladies. Anyone install one of these: http://www.aircrafttech.com/toilet-syst ... et-systemsThey tell me these are in PC-12's. Any pireps (lavreps)? I would consider this if the emptying/servicing is easier than the Monogram units. The sales guy tells me they're great....shocker! ~$4200 for model 50

Martti, We have these as well, G.R. Lowe is our 11,000+ hour pilot and the "go to guy" on cabin-class aircraft lav's. He'd be glad to give you all your options on a new unit vs. overhaul. The pictured unit goes in a Citation. Contact G.R. at 660.885.8317 or grlowe@avfab.comRegards, Jeff Ferguson http://www.AvFab.com
