There are actually 99 Meyers 200s on the FAA database. The reason you found so few is that many of them have different Makes listed. Some are "Meyers" while others are shown as manufactured by "Aero Commander".
The Meyers owners have an excellent owner's association too which assists in all kinds of areas such as maintenance and repair issues, insurance and even CFIs and A&Ps across the country who are familiar with these planes. [Link]http://www.meyersaircraftowners.org[/Link]
Global Parts in Augusta, KS is a major parts manufacturer for many different types of large and small aircraft. They purchased the Meyers T/C back in 2014 and they've become quite active in the Meyers owner community in order to research the aircraft further. In fact, they're hosting a Meyers aircraft Fly-In June 24-28 and you don't have to be an owner to join us!

When I was in school in Miami, 2 friends and I rented an Aero Commander 200 from an individual. I think we paid about 35.00 an hour, dry. Used it to fly home for the holidays. Miami to Worcester ma., the Cape , and NJ. And back to Miami. We thumbed through the logbooks enroute, this 200 was AC 200 serial # 1, the logs showed instrumentation for dive testing etc. N2900T . If I recall it cruised close to 200 MPH. 1968 or so.
Edit: I just looked up the number, and it said it was serial #301, I think it was the first one by Aero Commander....from the log entries...( 'twas a while ago)

There may be a reason the Meyers aircraft resembles the Lancair. If I recall correctly, Lance Neibauer is Al Meyers nephew. I think Lance told me this once a number of years ago when I had the opportunity to visit with him

My favorite aircraft ever. Would have owned one but the simple fuel system and parts for the F33a dictated my choice... To my knowledge there has never been an AD on the airframe or an inflight break up. Comeback in this day an age impossible or at best impractical . Al Myers used highly skilled labor not available today with little thought for mass production ( like building an Indy car,, A.J Foyt owned one). Rockwell gave it a try with little success ...Loved the clips in the Bond movie You only live Twice...It's worth looking into the history of Al Myers he fit the mold of Curtiss and Stinson..

Always heard great things about the Meyers, though never been in one personally. If anyone is serious about one, this one looks pretty great. If Global Parts bought the TC - then that gives them the ability to legally produce all the parts for the plane? And to restart full production if it was ever feasible?
