I like Mooneys.
While I am a bit too tall for them and do not like the seating position, you cannot deny their performance.
I hope they do well. Not a good day for them. Check the Crash Talk thread... viewtopic.php?f=41&t=106441Dave

I hope that we all do well. It's weird, I took a fellow Mooniac for a flight in the Baron yesterday. His sentiments resembled mine. We are both 6'4", with long legs The Mooney for us is more comfortable than the baron even though the seating position is different. in the Mooney you sit like you would a beach chair and in the Baron like you would at a dining room chair. That being said, there is more leg and headroom (with the adjustable seating) in the Mooney than the Baron. My Mooney is a 201J MSE. I hope that they do well too.

I hope that we all do well. I like 'em too, and share the same well wishes. I can feel the lineage when I fly the TBM-850, right down to the built-in discomfort! Oh well, everything involves compromise...

As such, the non-turbo'ed 310HP Mooney is a dead airplane.
The Acclaim can maybe compete with the Corvalis TTX if priced cheaper.
-Pascal I think that goes a little far...some people buy off the first page of the brochure, not the last. Someone who's wanted a Mooney all their life and can now afford it probably won't even be considering a Cirrus...or anything else. They won't be putting Cirrus out of business anytime soon, but they'll always have a following.

I had my Mooney for eight years before getting my Bonanza. I've got long legs, so the Mooney was definitely more comfortable for me. -Reg
