Richard, 134 is a good number. By the time number 134 rolls off the assembly line the kinks should be worked out.

That was my thought. It's probably ~36ish months until I see anything at the earliest. It's a project, they're going to be kinks. I'm hoping by then they will support the turbo engine, and maybe have a de-ice solution, just because of overall conditions at Flagstaff. But it's only $1000 for a deposit. If it turns to vaporware, I've lost more money doing dumber stuff...

The picture makes the luggage space look really small. Check out the video and you'll see it is a bit more space. I think it's still a bit small on volume, but plenty by weight, at least for a two seater.

Looks like it might be a neat "second" plane for me, but not my only one. I do Angel Flight missions, plus sometimes need four seats for people, dogs (my daughter's) or stuff.

A zippy two seater might be night for weekend trips for my wife and I and the occasional $100 Hamburger run.

The June update just came out; they've successfully run the engine for the first time, and also weighed the prototype to get an idea of actual empty weight. The prototype came in at 780lbs including a number of fixtures specific to the test airframe, and they apparently have a plan to shed the remaining 30lbs to hit the original target of 750lbs.

I'm impressed how close they are to target!

I’ll be a serious tire kicker on these once they start flying. They have a good angle on replacing my rv as a 2-place super economical xc platform. The simplicity (and light aerobatic capability) of the rv will remain tempting, but this at least purports to be substantially faster and having a regional-capable plane that I can substantially beat the airlines with has been my primary mission.

Aircraft is now in paint, test pilot on board. First flight can't be too far away.

I’m very excited to see this take off, not necessarily for myself but to see some new blood in the industry using some pretty cool techniques. Them sharing the development is incredibly interesting

I’m still following along. I’ve been punting around a glasair 3 just for the extra 50ktas, but I’m also still enjoying flying the rv and the friction of trying to make a change still has me firmly set on keeping the rv for the medium term. If these really come to fruition in 3-5 years, then I could definitely be a customer (for a flying example).

I'm excited about the brothers and the impact I think they'll have in the industry, too. I *love* how thoroughly they've developed their engineering process, and think that will make it faster, easier, and cheaper for them to iterate this design and develop future models.

It's also a huge deal that they're young, personable, and using social media to their advantage. The homebuilding movement needs to attract more youth, and this is the way to do it.
