But I think one would find that updating the PL21 to ADS-B/WAAS etc will cost just about the same as putting a completely new Garmin panel into the older Avanti, which is what Anthony is going to do. I think that's a smart play.
Kind of the same scenario exists with the early generation CitationJets. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piaggio_P.180_AvantiQuote: An improved Avanti II obtained European and U.S. certification in November 2005. Six months later, 70 planes had been ordered, including 36 by Avantair. Avanti II received type approval for Russia in 2011.[24] The Avanti II featured uprated Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66B turboprop engines and flies about 18 km/h (11 mph) faster, with better fuel economy; and an all-new "glass panel" avionics suite from Rockwell Collins reduced cockpit clutter.[25][26] In addition to heading, attitude and navigation information, flat panel color liquid crystal displays add collision avoidance (TCAS), ground proximity (TAWS) and real-time graphic weather depiction.[27]

I’ll start (not seriously) with: “NeXt Big Thing” = G1000 NXi Hopefully the PC-12 pilots here can come up with more realistic suggestions Pilatus is not switching to Garmin.

If Honeywell is good enough for the 900LW its good enough for me. Quite impressive panel actually.

Yes—that should have been in green. But hopefully some of you will have more serious suggestions!

For example if I'm given an intermediate waypoint, I can just hit DirectTo and enter it, and it's smart enough to figure out that it's on the way and insert it into my flight plan... vs the Garmin which will just nuke your whole flight plan unless you go insert it into the flight plan first. Also feels like most things are accessible with less buttons and submenus. I'm learning this KLN94 and agree that is a convenience.

Also adding a 2nd MAU to get rid of all the crap under the floor (like the PC-24). Guess we will find out at NBAA. That's the kinda rumor I like. Facts can be so misleading. Rumors, true or false, can be revealing.
