No, I'm frustrated! All this interest is driving up prices, wrestling my dream away from me! That was my secret little plane only I knew about! ;)

Well, not much of a secret when you’re the one who keeps bringing it up!

Since there appears to be a clue from Jason’s linked press release in the way the N and X in NeXt are formatted, perhaps we can crowdsource some guesses. I’ll start (not seriously) with:
“NeXt Big Thing” = G1000 NXi
Hopefully the PC-12 pilots here can come up with more realistic suggestions

Avanti came with the old ProLine II system which was CRT based. Only the Avanti II has the updated PL21. But I think one would find that updating the PL21 to ADS-B/WAAS etc will cost just about the same as putting a completely new Garmin panel into the older Avanti, which is what Anthony is going to do. I think that's a smart play.

Kind of the same scenario exists with the early generation CitationJets.

An improved Avanti II obtained European and U.S. certification in November 2005. Six months later, 70 planes had been ordered, including 36 by Avantair. Avanti II received type approval for Russia in 2011.[24] The Avanti II featured uprated Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66B turboprop engines and flies about 18 km/h (11 mph) faster, with better fuel economy; and an all-new "glass panel" avionics suite from Rockwell Collins reduced cockpit clutter.[25][26] In addition to heading, attitude and navigation information, flat panel color liquid crystal displays add collision avoidance (TCAS), ground proximity (TAWS) and real-time graphic weather depiction.[27]

If Honeywell is good enough for the 900LW its good enough for me. Quite impressive panel actually.

There's a lot more to the Honeywell system than just the screens you look at. It's integrated through the whole airframe. Pilatus committing to the Honeywell for the PC24 was the nail in the coffin. They're Honeywell committed.

I like the Honeywell system. It's never broken on me. It's not quite as whiz bang as the Garmin but it flys instrument approaches so that's all I really need.

There is a lot I like about the Honeywell vs Garmin. For example if I'm given an intermediate waypoint, I can just hit DirectTo and enter it, and it's smart enough to figure out that it's on the way and insert it into my flight plan... vs the Garmin which will just nuke your whole flight plan unless you go insert it into the flight plan first. Also feels like most things are accessible with less buttons and submenus.

Yes—that should have been in green. But hopefully some of you will have more serious suggestions!

I'm learning this KLN94 and agree that is a convenience.

Before I quit working on PC-12's/PC-24's (5 months ago) there was talk about drop down masks and a new wing design to get higher altitudes and higher speeds. Also adding a 2nd MAU to get rid of all the crap under the floor (like the PC-24). Guess we will find out at NBAA.

That's the kinda rumor I like.

Facts can be so misleading. Rumors, true or false, can be revealing.

They better bump up the cabin first. Isn’t it currently over 10k feet at fl300?

8500

Nobody flies at FL300. FL280 is about the max I use. Performance really drops above 280 so unless you got a great tail wind to take advantage of........
