Wow, that’s a lot better than I was under the impression of. Hmmmm...
I agree, I always thought them to need a little more runway. How about the landing chart :-) With reverse, they gotta be pretty good.

Not bad at all. How about a maximum speed cruise chart?

There is nothing to dislike about this aircraft if the maintenance expenses are predictable. The discussion of the gear overhaul being eye wateringly expensive just reminds me that you have to look at the total cost of owning a plane to create perspective and make a rational judgement about it.
For me the keys would be expected maintenance expenses over time, dispatch rate, depreciation and average time on market. Anyone know where to get that?
In the TBM community all those things are easily available, as I am sure they are for the PC12 and other turbines. If it can be determined for the Avanti I'd be seriously interested. My only complaints about the TBM are operational altitude (which isn't bad but 40k would just about insure you're on top of weather with no need to deploy IS and slow down) and speed (because faster is always better and I can't go non stop to the west coast in a time interval my butt is comfortable with). I didn't call on any of these, so they could be ghost listings.......but of the 12 P180's on JetNet, the youngest has been on market for 162 days, while the oldest is listed as 1589 days. There are 17 Avanti II's, ranging from 14 days to 1244 days. There are no Evo's listed(on JetNet).
