They wanted aircraft from their unit's past... and we were happy to oblige.
Three hops to get there, and three hops to St George UT to store it for the winter. The jet flew flawlessly. Charlie Largay's restoration of this rare American warbird is really an exceptional story... both the history of the jet and his hard work to get it flying. That is so cool! In December I went to Madison to eat at the Jet Room and when I was landing, F-35s were doing T&Gs. I didn’t even know they transitioned so it was awesome to watch. Norman, those would make really cool roof top carriers for some cars….. just a suggestion.

The people at Western Sky museum told me there was a Super Tweet based on field, but I don't think I've ever seen you flying around. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for ya!

The jet really doesn't fly very much in the winter. Charlie is keeping it there so that Western Skies can have a very nice static display.
We had hoped to bring it to the Luke AFB Airshow, but that's not looking like an option now. When it heads out for a future show, I'll post the info here.
Thanks for the offer on the drop tanks... but I think Charlie has more than he will ever need already!

Flew a few flights Thursday. First flights in 9 months and the jet flew great. Added 2 more drop tanks, and ferried it to Idaho. Hoping to have it at Oshkosh Monday-Thursday morning.
