Looks like the cheap contract price is added by a per gallon charge for the FBO (for 250 gals, looks like $.55/gal), plus landing fee of $3/1000lbs of max landing weight (so basically $30 for the Solitaire), plus facility fee of $70.
All told, for 250 gals into the Solitaire: $1.99/gal fuel x 250 = 497.50 + $0.55/gal x 250 = 137.50 + Landing = 30.00 + Facility = 70.00 ===> $735 total / 250 = $2.94/gal equivalent
Not quite the cheapest possible, but not bad overall.

Username Protected wrote: What's flying with tips half full like? I realize there are baffles but isn't the fuel movement noticable? I mean honestly it really kinda handles like a truck... and with tips full it's even a little sluggisher and a bit more roll inertia I suppose. By the time you are down to 60G each tip its really indiscernible from empty-tips for the most part. I remember when we first got it and people said how unstable it was and that if you turned away it would be gone in a different direction haha. So far from the truth. Usually it was guys that "had a lot of time in them a few years ago".
This is a really funny comment. MU2 is rock solid stable. OWT abound when it comes to these planes.

Jim, Know it sucks to get his with those two items but look at it this way: - having the window blow out in flight would have been really, really bad. - having the torque sensor fail would haven meant (at best) a failed NTS test on start and grounding the plane until fixed or (worst) a REALLY bad day if you had an engine issue and the NTS system failed to work. Recognize that's small comfort when paying the bills, but I'd say your SOAP sample just paid for itself in spades compared to the potential consequences and (having had a window blow out at altitude) I personally would much rather have discovered it on the ground during maintenance than what I went through.... Think about what a great 2017 you'll have flying your incredible bird!

For whatever reason I'm most always enjoying a tailwind. I must be living clean.
