Sorry, didn't know how far away they were. You seemed to be already planning for it based on previous posts.

Mike C.

no worries...
Took a trip to Amarillo last weekend and the 224 knot ground speeds had my mind all screwed up. I wont do anything for now and just enjoy what I have. I really need a day with a 100knot push to keep me happy! :D

That's a respectable speed in many airplanes.

Would have been happy as a peach doing that in 421.

To cheer you up, think about the King Air 90 doing 180 GS that day, with higher fuel flow.

Don't you have 5000hr engines with about 5-600 hours to hots?

I'm at 4500hr +/- AF & engines. 425SA was on track for a 5000hr ovhl. Had all inspections done at pre-buy. If I do GBI's @ 5000 (no hots req'd), I can go to 5400+100 if I stretch it that far, per ICjSC. I've got good cycle times left to go that far +. I'm within 4-5 ft-lbs of torque on the gauges on the engines and producing book speeds +.

So far, so good and I'm a happy camper... :)

Why "or"? Opt for all three- you'll last forever. Your wife or girlfriend (and again, even better if you can make it work for both simultaneously) will revere you. Just remember- Wayne Gretsky says "you miss 100% of the shots you never take", lol.

I really hope they serve beer in hell...

I landed at DFW last night mainly because I stayed at a hotel at the airport and didn't want to Uber. I knew it'd cost me more but it was a bucket list item for me. I was most anxious about taxi instructions once on the ground so I talked to a buddy of mine that flys for AA based at DFW for advice. He said it was a no brainer and told me to go for it. It was really no big deal. I got 17C landing and departing and the controllers were great. Had zero delays leaving around 2pm today and except for the high priced fuel and $189 in fees it was a great experience.
Even managed a pictured on short final.
Almost 100 hours and not a single issue with the plane. It has delivered 100% of the time in a very consistent and reliable manner.

Well done!
I made a list of Class B's for my bucket list. Three down, many to go.

You need to get some fuel program cards! DFW shows as $1.91/gal for me.... which pretty much makes up for the fees...

Glad to see you making it into the B..

Nothing to be afraid of, except fees.

Which program is that good? Everything that I have other than CAA is garbage.

UVAir shows me that at DFW. Avfuel shows $2.16/gal at DFW. They all seem to vary. For a long time UVAir was never the cheapest for me. Lately it pretty much mostly is, except CAA. CAA is great, but so far I have not used it enough to justify the annual fee. Still have a little time, so it might pay for itself eventually, but it's highly dependent on where you go.

I agree - DFW has the cheapest fuel in the Dallas area. How are you buying your fuel? Retail is $4.00 - UVAir is 1.93 today.

There is a flowage fee at DFW, I can't remember exactly, I want to say .40 per gallon for 250g or less. IIRC, into the plane fuel there was a dime less than DAL. I did the math the other week flying to Dallas between DTO DAL and DFW. DFW for two nights was a few bucks less than DAL and DTO was substantially cheaper than both but I had to drive 15 minutes further. All three are quite inexpensive relative to other places I have flown in the country, and Jet Center at DAL has a completely stocked free ice cream cooler!
